heard about bfd, might have to invest one day...
hmm, £180 from fxpansion for a zillion drum kits...
why would i rather spend that on a single snare drum?
anyway, guru...

bfd really comes into its own when used with a electric kit, possibly the most realistic drum module ever..
in fact the attention to detail is ridiculous for the most part!

Im at my most productive time ever !
just rattling out sketches at a rapid rate with this, Im using it essentially as a software MPC for hip-hop mainly.
Still a lot of features (both functionality and usability) I'd like to see, but they have most of these logged and are working on them.
Awesome !!

does battery do intelligent beat slicing of loops for you, based on frequencies as well as transients ?
27th July 2005, 10:18
Ooooohh, get her!
I'd never let a machine slice for me unless I made it myself, brought it up as my own and lovingly educated it in the art of slicing.
I saw the tutorial, but it seemed that there is no way of manually doing the slicing... Is that right?
Why not send me your beta and I'll see

scope true it doesnt.. the few loops i use these days i chop up wit phatmatik..battery also has inbuilt eq and compression for each pad which is pretty handy if u dont wanna wire up multiple outputs, and has more pads for drums
im genuinely interested though cause a lot of people are bigging this software up , is it worth looking into?
youll be a great dad one day. no dessert for you until youve sliced my loops son!

as does guru
I havent used battery 2 extensively, but i have used it on a few important sessions.
With guru I find the workflow to be simply amazing - dont know if I can fully explain it, it just enables you to be real creative, real quick !

So do you do the whole song/beat in Guru or do you get your loops together in it and then go into a sequencer? Can it all be done in Guru i suppose is what im asking?
