ATTN everybody - Naphta - 30th September 2008 Statto Wrote:It was all worked out by who? ATTN everybody - Statto - 30th September 2008 Naphta Wrote: I feel your pain Statto, for it is my own pain.... and the pain of everyone of us one here who thinks the same about our own product. But truth is, dnb fucked itself royally once Rider etc started pimping BC + friends - that was game over. A scene can't rise again to accomodate and even encourage true diversity when its engine is powered solely by lowest-common-denominator muck. nah, we're just weirdos 99% of people don't want anything interesting from music; that's not the purpose of music for them hence Kings Of Leon can shift 250000 units in a few days, when they have nothing musically interesting to say whatsoever ATTN everybody - Macc - 30th September 2008 Statto Wrote:Actually I'm tempted by hearing Macc DJ this Saturday ya dibbler ATTN everybody - Code - 30th September 2008 Naphta Wrote:It's just taken some of us 10 years or more to deal with that, is all. ATTN everybody - Naphta - 30th September 2008 Code Wrote:It's taking some of us longer than that. that's cos you don't have a mobile phone never get one, you'll give up on dnb overnight ATTN everybody - Naphta - 30th September 2008 Statto Wrote:nah, we're just weirdos so how many people does that leave to potentially purchase SC records? esp. when it's only 'marketed' at dnb people? ATTN everybody - cycom - 30th September 2008 Naphta Wrote:so how many people does that leave to potentially purchase SC records? still zillions! Naphta Wrote:esp. when it's only 'marketed' at dnb people? 50? ATTN everybody - Statto - 30th September 2008 Naphta Wrote:so how many people does that leave to potentially purchase SC records? We have 2587 registered users 1% of that is 26 people guess I should be handing out refunds :P ATTN everybody - Naphta - 30th September 2008 yes! in effect, we pay people to listen to our music ATTN everybody - cycom - 30th September 2008 make netlabels ATTN everybody - rondema - 30th September 2008 cycom Wrote:I don't have a record player buy the CDRs ATTN everybody - vvr - 30th September 2008 who does not buy vinyl ???????? ATTN everybody - TVG - 30th September 2008 I bought this as I try to support those who are taking risks putting out different stuff. I do want the Formication track on mp3 tho; I hardly ever "listen" to vinyl. And I've played Mean Streets out enough times to make the whole set worth it aside from just trying to support. ATTN everybody - Logos - 30th September 2008 Can I suggest a CD album as the next project Statto? Vol 3 was basically LP length anyway. Same sort of stuff but might tie in nicely with 7 years of SC next year. I do appreciate your committment to vinyl however ATTN everybody - Statto - 30th September 2008 tvghates Wrote:i bought this as i try to support those who are taking risks putting out different stuff. aim? ATTN everybody - Statto - 30th September 2008 logos Wrote:can i suggest a cd album as the next project statto? vol 3 was basically lp length anyway. it's an idea but i'm not planning on anything at the moment if ever ATTN everybody - Metric - 30th September 2008 i have it, but then again i have all three, and i am sure there are sides even plates that are completely unplayed, some side i would never want to play again, and some i like, and some didn't know i had and there was/is hype about (The Nubian Mindz tracks). As we have discussed time and time again, that no way to put out an album in this day and age. How many people said they would buy the intsra:mental 12" for the art alone? SC volumes have no art How many folks said they would purchase part of recent albums (D-Bridge, Calibre, Commix etc )as an mp3 but didn't like all the tracks enough to buy the vinyl? SC volumes don't have this option How many people check thread that doesn't contain a real topic and says "Attn everybody"? No not everybody. Naphta and the others do have a point. ATTN everybody - Statto - 30th September 2008 two things: 1) sc volumes have no art because to me artwork is just a waste of money 2) people don't have to like all the tracks â the records are so much cheaper that they're getting a lot of tracks for 'free' ATTN everybody - OwenPaulStory - 30th September 2008 quite simply...im saturated & hammered down with decent music these days...everybody makes the stuff. i might get around to buying this soon & seeing the thread here gives it a slight head above the rest as far as my next purchase consideration is concerned ATTN everybody - Statto - 30th September 2008 ATTN everybody - OwenPaulStory - 30th September 2008 statto Wrote:two things: ah, but artwork is important...it's important to incorporate as many senses as possible into a product...you only have one! get to work; try thinking up a unique subvert smell to go with your stuff ...oh im crazy? look at singapore airlines |
