    Other stuff

Lots and lots and lots of dnb threads again

Talk about other stuff in here (see you in the crapper soon no doubt ).

So what about that UK election thingy then? Looks like Statto's dream prediction may be borne out if Blair buckles and stands down (although he probably won't).

And what about the speedy-uppy bit in the breakdown in Miles Davis' 'Madness'? I keep getting funny looks from people on the street cos it makes me grin every time due to its supreme quality.....

And who would have believed that (insert story/discussion here).

i don't think blair will stand down - he's in a superior position, with the backing of brown, blunkett and campbell - bollocks is he going anywhere!

(dnb threads can wait a moment)

do'u have live at the plugged nickel, macco? miles 1965 things... i really like it. statto doesn't rate it, but when did you ever listen to him < interesting that actually - i felt obliged to mention him ( )

what did you have for dinner last night?

i had my housemates mum over all weekend. i nearly killed her

I don't know anything about any of the topics you mentioned.

So, funny looks eh? Hasn't anyone told you airdrumming in public is not generally accepted? I'm going to download that song now.

I had a wicked weekend from a food point of view....

Friday night, friends over (my mate and his bird, and my bird and I) - Domino's, two large pizzas, one half mighty meaty and half Texas BBQ, the other a Vegaroma, but half with BBQ sauce

Add in a few games of Scattergories and bundles of booze and weed and yer talking good times for sure....

    Saturday night, same arrangement, different friends - on the menu were (and this is the nuts, all prepared by Laura or myself);

Bruscetta - finely chopped (and drained!) tomato, basil and garlic on top of proper thick cut crusty bastard bread.

Chicken, bacon, red onion, mushroom, herbs and garlic cooked in white wine served with patent Macc Roast Chips (badarse!!!!!) and asparagus.

Laura's patent, well, fucking nice Banoffee Pie......

Gallons of wine etc etc were consumed, good times for sure!

Then yesterday it was 'fuck this, let's go to the Wetherspoon'. I had cottage pie, it was

    That reminds me...... RANT ALERT:

So - GET THIS FOR FUCK'S SAKE - now you can't buy a bowl of chips in a fucking Wetherspoon pub cos the whole menu is 'healthy'.

IT'S A FUCKING PUB THAT SERVES FOOD, AND YOU CAN'T BUY A FUCKING BOWL OF CHIPS OR ONION RINGS????

WHy? I fucking know why, it's cos half the nation are unhealthy cunts who can't control what they eat (then complain it is genetic), so therefore NONE OF US can have chips, cos of heavy handed fucking stupid health regulation bullshit. I ain't fat, I ain't that unhealhty, and if I want a bowl of chips in a pub that has sold bowls of chips for over TEN FUCKING YEARS I should fucking be able to have them instead of having what I can and can't eat dictated to me by some mangment/government prick who's signing these laws with one hand and feeding his obese little shit of a kid bags of bacon crisps with the other.

Nefertiti - Dodz gave it to me and I am absolutely fucking hooked..... Especially that tune, it's just sooooo moody

Tony Williams absolutely SMASHES it on that album too, so do all the personnel in fact - Ron Carter on Madness makes me very But the bit I mentioned there is one of the best musical.... things ever!

I had Bruscetta on Saturday too! 'Twas bad! I also had three pizzas in the space of two days, one for my dinner on Friday, one in the pub because I was drunk and needed something to soak up the alcohol, and one in Ask on the Saturday because I'd forgotten about the pizza the night before , plus the pastas in Ask are always woeful

not many that are into jazz would dispute the infinite mystical musical beauty contained within the atonal mayhem of that record. it really is taking the extension of the intuition of that band to it's logical extreme. records like 'miles smiles' and 'esp' etc, are OUTRAGEOUSLY good as well, but i think this one is the high water mark on the depth of, specifically interplay, that musicians of that calibre are capable of. you just can't get bored of hearing it ever.....
