Recording Audio from other apps into Forge??

I used to be able to do this with my Audigy card. Sample anything playing from any app (i.e anything in the soundcard) into Soundforge.

Now got my EMU 0404 soundcard and I can't do it.

Any ideas to get this working?

You mean just set sound forge listening (as it were) and recording whatever is playing?

In the emu patch mix you need to make sure you put a send on your main output to a wave l/r host channel in the patch mix.

the Audigy was great for that. "What U Hear" mode.

even better is to have cubase open, make a new audio track and use patch mix to send your tune (or whatever you are hearing) to it.

great for 'that dat feel'

when mixing down, but also brilliant if you like fucking about with effects in real time and want to record it
