Do you know when this is released? Will probably pay for it

Thats loyalty for you from the company who made us put up with a substandard product for the first few months of its life.

yeah it's a bit out of order & I don't even have the original emu x ting.

This just looks like the finished product they promised ppl who were forking out their money thinking the ting would at least work.

Saying that,if all the features r implemented & working this thing could b dangerous!!!!

Kontakt 2's alright, yeah... Not that heavy on your CPU unless you use the convolution plugs, but I've not really delved there much.

But when it’s all said and done I have to say my AKAI is the best sampler thus far for sound and fun.

I have tried both worlds (soft and hardware) no software can come close to that warm sound of AKAI

    warm sound of the akai?

u must have an s3000 then because the 5000 onwards never had a warm sound, more a clear, bright, precise sound that never added any transients when sampling.great for drums ,percussion & fx but not quite able to test the emu's when it came to bass roundness

i still use my 6000 & 3000 extensively but for different purposes, the 3000 is a bass monster & the 6000 can do everything else

yesterday i picked up mach5 1.2 for the pc & will be testing that out fully this weekend & am interested to see how it compares, audibly, to the akais

I bought the Emulator X sampler and the 1212 card last year and after a while gave up on the awkward interface - just couldn't understand why they made the whole thing (esp the sample management ) so fricking complicated...

Maybe it was me, but I couldn't make much sense out of it all.

Bought Intakt for loops (not perfect but quick and useable for chopping) and Kontakt for samples and not looked back since...so much quicker and easier to use....

The built in FX on the EMU card were a nice touch tho

I assume the X2 is better but they should have thought a bit about the ergonomics before releasing X the first time round ..... disappointed....

Can't be arsed with it anymore - gonna stick with Native stuff.
