    Hi folks - please help!

    Hey

Just poppin back after a brief hiateus from music to say hi and help!

here's my problem (and I hope me seeing "Hi" means this thread can stay here where it doesn't really belong hehe)

I had kontakt 2 on my pc - it crashed then wouldnt restart.

So I uninstalled it, cleaned the registry and reinstalled but when I reintsalled and ran the authorisation prog it said already authorised, now it won't run!

I reckon there is some dinky authorisation file from the original installation - or maybe some corrupted files - any idea anyone how I can identify and get rid?

Or am i gonna have to rebuild my pc

ok...here's 2 posts which may help.

if you delete all the native instruments/kontakt 2 keys in the registry for current user and local machine any authorisation information is gone and it's back to demo mode. no files are installed for authorisation and no files that are installed can stop it from being unauthorised if you do that. if you do delete all of them you may have to reinstall. but it's only the sysid and serial keys you need to delete.

edit-just remembered i had a problem where i deleted all the registry keys for kontakt 2 and it was still authorised somehow, don't think i figured out what it was, pretty sure that occured just before i reinstalled windows so it didn't matter.

It seems it is not running not because of the problem of authorization. It is most likely the problem of program installation. Try to uninstall it with the original installation program (i.e H2O). Trying to clean the registry manually needs more knowledge about the installed program.

hopefully there's something in there that helps ya out.
