Leaders are unbelievable...I am about to move house, found a lovely gaff to move into (Duffahs old one...haha he is screwin coz there is no neighbours!!) and I got a letter through the door telling me that they were happy to give me a reference but they would charge me the bones of £30!! Feckin cheeky bastids!! I should have put down my previous estate agents...infact...I am not giving leaders my hard earned cash, I will ask my other estate agent for a reference.

Im fuming...the absolute cheek.

feckers give em a slap! my agency think i owe them £991 and they are charging me £10 for the letter they sent and making me pay extra everyday it hasnt been paid, but i checked with my bank and i dont owe them anything????? stupid cnutz

ah now I wouldn't tar them all with the same brush, smaller independent agencys are the way forward.

I rang up an old estate agent that I used a year or so ago and said ' Well hello' and yer man remembered me. I asked him if he will give me a reference and he said he would, but i had to get my new agents to write a letter.

Then I rang my new agents and asked them if they charged their ex tenants for a reference, they said no. So explained the situation and she happily obliged writing a letter to my old agency to get a reference - free of charge.
