    Been listening to Andrew Hill for ages mate

    Point Of Departure is probably his most well-known album... and it is superb (Hill, Richard Davis, Tony Williams, Eric Dolphy, Kenny Dorham ). But there's something about one or two of the compositions on this album (Judgment!) that smash it - especially Siete Ocho. The way he writes his tunes is really good - unusual structures but still followable.

    Really want to get his Andrew! album too as it has Joe Chambers on it, but it's well expensive everywhere

    He also just released a new album, 'Time Lines' despite having lung cancer, so I'll be czeching dat hoot fo shore
