The other thing I wanna sort asap is signing the tracks that I know I want (if Blue agrees)...

What is the usual way of things when you want to sign a track by an artist... do you give an advance of a few hundred £££ ? I like the way 0=0 does it... think he pays them in full before the track even comes out! Okay... we might not be able to stretch to that but I'd certainly like to pay a good chunk to the artist as an advance.

Blue, you're more used to the mechanics of a label, how do you see it?

Dont do advances unless for remixes and only if the artists wont budge, the usual deal is 50 percent of money made on the release after costs are recouped for pressing, promotion and distribution.
