went to see acid mothers temple last night

Almost
MF Doom was playing less than five minutes up the road tonight, but I'm not a massive fan, so passed.
However, Thomas Dolby, Harold Budd & The Necks 14th - 22nd days this month will make up for my hermitry. Possibly Imelda May next week too.
Wooden Shjips couple of months back.
B-real and Psycho Realm this Sunday.
Saw Delilah in the last few hours, pretty decent. The angularity of her voice really colours the potential of the songs. Met up with the local Nightshift editor who's said to be reviewing it, saves me a job, and I'd had too much to drink by then anyway. Just happy to have less of the screaming sensations in public, and to actually manage to stay out in a fairly crowded area for a little while. Best live renditions by Delilah tonight were "Never Be Another", "Love You So" and "Go".
Off to see someone tonight. Can't remember who they are since I hadn't heard of them anyway.

It was good. Droney. About three chord changes all weekend, total. John Chantler on church organ and modular synths was a particular highlight.
watched Niki And The Dove last night in a tiny intimate venue - bangin!!!!!
got to meet them afterwards, sound bunch of peoples too.
http://www.soundcloud.com/shift/ - SCD soundclash tune is up
Tim Hecker and Zvuku in a small candlelit church in Dublin.
Sounded great, freaked out by everyone sitting down and being very quiet. Left early as i had a prior commitment.

Was at this show in Montreal last Saturday :
http://www.villavillanola.com/suoni/...sa-del-popolo/
was most impressed by Le Revelateur (featuring Roger Tellier-Craig of Godspeed You Black Emperor! fame)
optimistic synthesis loop-isms
so much warmth in the sounds
also Pulse Emitter was good.
We saw R Stevie Moore last night. Is he someone that you're into, Statto? We were a bit nonplussed tbh - enjoyed the support from local synthpop beardy-weirdies Les Aventures Sous La Mer rather more.
This weekend:
Ewert & The Two Dragons
Skyforger
The Big Pink
The Experimental Tropic Blues Band
Von Hertzen Brothers
The Dwarves
The Stranglers
went to Download festival and saw:
