What do you want from a new style?

The poll is just to get a feel on preference for light vs dark style.

voted light, because i think something thats pretty much as it is now with a more sc colour scheme would be nice

The previous dark style looked better imo and was unique colour scheme which my mind automatically linked with Subvert Central board.

Just want to be clear - the current style is simply the default vB style. Its active because the SC style is broken.

This poll is to ask whether generally, a dark or light style is preferred.
Either way, it will be made SC again

Im actually quite liking this light, obv a wrok in progress, easier to read IMO.

its not even a WIP - just a default style that comes with the forum software - its just temporary until we have consensus on the general feel of the style.

At the moment I think we'll only be able to have one, but I am considering both - dark as the main and a light version as a 'work mode'

I have to admit I kinda like this light style, but the dark SC is very comforting to return to every day. Increased functionality would be cool too. Maybe theres a 'little less dark' option available?


Left like this (or similar to this) SC becomes just like any other board out there . . . so dark style for me I guess.

In general I am happier with light text on a dark background.. I find a white screen wearing on my eyes (I'm sure it's a default style on the web mainly as a hangover from physical print..)

So I'd always ride on the dark side

Voted dark: eye strain first reason against light version, secondary reason uniting familiarity of SC theme with an identity mindset.

Yes, new style is rather sexy

One thing I have noticed though is the page seems a little squashed, i.e. the borders on the left and right hand sides are quite thick. It was wider before, non?
