the latest episode of the sc podcats comes from forum veteran dj ml, and features some serious tracks from the early years of hardcore and jungle.

tracklist is as below:

05. fantastic max vol 2 - f project records
06. boomin tunes vol 2 - nexus and blowback - f project records
07. static substance – ghetto people – impact records
08. andy c – bass constructor – ram records
09. optical haze – wonderful experiences pt ii – out of romford records

14. joint project - dark in the jungle - soapbar records
15. bay b kane – dark zone – whitehouse records
16. scott and keith – deranged (bonus drums mix) – reinforced records
17. mad dogs – séance – under dog recordings
18. on remand – control – crack house records

ml says this about the selection:

"the podcast features 1 hour of 1993 underground hardcore and early drum n bass tunes (no anthems). the tunes selected are personal to me and are some of my favourites from that time. 1993 was a key year for me and the year i first really got into hardcore/dnb music and the rave scene.
this set is also inspired by and dedicate to the old london pirate radio station
pulse 90.6 fm, which broadcasted between august 1991 and august 1995."

enjoy!

This is Pulse FM, broadcasting on a frequency of 90.6, this is Pulse FM, broadcasting on a freqency of 90.6

I remember listening to Nick Power on there all the time. Got me through my GCSEs for sure. I only got one taped radio show left and its well funny. Might record it and upload it. Must be from 1993/94

Big up ML for the memories.

Pulse fm....you know!!!!! Cool Cool

In the mix, In the mix, In the mix on 90.6!!!...

Definitely my favourite Pirate from back in the day, preferred the whole style of the station to others, they played a variety of music and were a bit more understated, the music was the main focus.

Nick Power, used to listen to his shows as well, he was quite a character!!!
sunday evenings 8-10.....Mr Music power himself!!
have got a few tapes of his shows somewhere, also got a Nick power best of 93 mix on mp3 / cd, could do u a copy if u want??

...yes!!!.......Good Memories!!!!! Grin Wink

It is true that us older old schoolers have some good memories, but we are getting on a bit now!!! most of us would have to be in our late 20's to early 30's!!!!!! Wink Oops

you still have youth on your side!! Wink
I wouldnt mind being 18-19 again!!

In 10 years time u never know, u may be saying the same thing!!!!???

How do I upload this - I'm a podcast idiot....

Any tips - this mix looks great !!!!

you want to download this, not upload. Wink

you can go to the sc podcast page and click on 'listen now' (the link, not the one on the graphic) at the end of the tracklisting. this should start the download of the mix. if you click on the graphic it should start streaming.

or download a podcast software like juice and add the rss feed to it. so whenever there's is a new podcast and you have juice running it automatically downloads the new podcast. Xyxthumbs
