 eerie atmospheric/synths.....with some deep-ish lyrics......."the ghosts of my life"............ just listening to the tin drum album now!!!!!

It is a synth-badman of a tune  EDIT: I'm gonna put it on now.. and maybe some talk talk, or psychedelic furs or something.

on a sad note, ive just heard that Mick Karn, the bassist, has died (he played fretless bass for Japan) RIP http://www.independent.co.uk/news/obitua...79198.html 
No fretless bass on ghosts though. Such a tune
There is no way a track like this could chart these days 
Personal favourite Japan track is a bit of a tossup between Taking Islands In Africa, Life In Tokyo, Canton, Quiet Life, Gentlemen Take Polaroids and, uh, well fuckloads of others too really
