I didn't buy many Teebee tunes, but I was into this release for a bit.

"Distorted Information" e.p. Juice Records, 1999

some techsteppy elements for sure.

That just so happened to be the formula then.  I do recall a specific Dillinja - esque formula  then as well..  maybe Dillinja style tunes as direct influence on harder tunes meant to be dj-ed out back then?

Based on your comments, you'll hate this tune too Ornette Smile , Dillinja made entire tunes with that boinging  sub-bass right?  But just as a blatant example of what you pointed out:

I didn't buy much Dillinja after the "Cybotron" lp era myself.

Dillinja - Crunch

Ahh, so you think it was "Crunch" was the tune that sparked it, fair dues Smile

Don't know where it began myself but seem to stumble on countless tunes that replicate that formula whenever I dig through that 2003-04 era... It's so cliched it just makes me laugh

Have it in my mind somehow as a sub genre/relation of 'lobotomystep', is that right?

Peter Kurten ..  tunes generally on a more crossbreed / technoid tip

I'm intrigued. I like the freakiness of it all.

can you dance to it?

^^ In doing my research to your post, heh, I actually listened to the entire "Cybotron" lp  a couple hours ago, and yes... that formula seemed very much a Dillinja formula, a bit earlier, from 2001 right?  But yes, Dillinja formula indeed. It is all over that lp, entire tunes with that boinging sub..
I'm fully researching this thread subverts.  heh. I skimmed the B-Key discogs, I had a couple of the XXX plates from back then.

I don't mind this Tech Itch, B-Key remix.

of course

Lesser known Alpha Omega track from 2002, nevertheless me thinks excellent Techstep Slayer

^^  cool. I've never heard that before. Proof that techstep regardless of era, can still have groove, ya know?

I only ever owned "Wormhole" on cd, so I listened to the mix cd tons back when. I always liked how the mix ended with "Glass Eye" mixed into "Crisis" for increased tension.

Moments indeed. Smile

I like how the bass onslaught in "Punchbag" is gritty enough to rival any other techstep tune, yet the break & other flourishes keeps the tune light. Dirty funk. Versatility indeed.

"The Medicine".  biznez.

Since we're in the same era..

"Sentient" was always punchy.   The remixes of "Nitrous" were garbage - remember Dillinja's "..reeeeemiiiiix" refrain in his remix?  Ugh. The original should have stayed. imo.

Remember this was then, fresh material for new techsteppy sounds post - Future Forces Inc. joints at the time.  It hasn't been the same since huh?   heh.

the Antichristus / Peter Kurten related stuff is great.

I wasn't mad when Seba went all dark on us. ya know?

Me thinks, this is quite Tech-Step-y - and rather surprisingly, on Pinecone Moonshine released in 2012. Fada seems to have given up on producing as well.  Icon_sad

Anyone know what this tune is? Has the same "...frequency..." vocal sample as those Tango remixes on Creative Wax / Moving Shadow
