So what do you do for a living?

I'm pretty stoked because I just got accepted for a job at Stream International working for Dell tech support. I've been jobless since april when I quit college for the time being... so now I can pay back my student loans and finally live a little instead of being stressed out and depressed all the time.

I'm definitely going to start making beats again and work on my bongo and guitar skills. Something I was planning on doing for a long time but never had the peace of mind to actually pursue it.

So what do y'all do for a living?

At least it's a pretty original job title !
I used to be an electronic engineer (kind of...)

was in a company for 6 years, but wanted to do something else,

so went back to college to do a Masters in Music Technology.

I'm taking time out at the moment to focus on making music / running Subtle Audio but I have a weekly show on an FM station here (NOT a big payer but at least it's something) and I also do some part-time audio production work for them.

I'll probably need to start looking for a job again in 2010 when my savings run out ... not much around work-wise now anyway.
I'm studying Computer Science (waay too long already Wink and work at a ticket shop....lousy boring job I really want to quit after 3 years..
Secondary school teacher - English and Media Studies. Also do bits and bobs for Scottish Screen
Personal Trainer - my niche is people looking to gain strength or speed for sport specific or personal.

I work in networks / infrastructure for a big food distribution company. We've just had a big re-structure, been going on for about 8 months slowly with my previous job (just networks) no longer existing.

After a lot of faffing, applying for jobs in IT within the company, I got offered 2 Grin I've accepted the above job but was so happy to be valued by the company enough to be asked to go for the other job (a senior business analyst role) and get offered it. My value in the company has just risen.

I'm employed, happy and plodding on. Good pay and a nice car all included. Xyxthumbs Entering my 9th year with the company, hopefully I'll make it through the recession and still here on the other side.

I'm a web developer. But my occupation ranges from frontend to backend to conceptual work to project management. Most of the time it's okay, occassionally even really good. I love the flexiblity in working hours, so I can see my children a lot (now that they still want to see me Lol)

interesting thread btw Xyxthumbs
