call me an oddball, but i hate the too-clean sound of some drum&bass releases.
i love the filthy, dirty, sometimes even a bit muddy sound of old drum&bass.
i've never liked the over-produced sound quality, no matter what genre.

This is one of the reasons I never got into Polar/K's stuff. Though i can appreciate the music I felt it was quite emotionless and sterile... just too clean and 'sciencey'. Just my opinion, i know I'm gonna get flamed for it.

it's not negative, but it comes across as righteous.
it's not the first time i've noticed this (it's maybe too 'controversial' an allegation but it's been bothering me) but that whole interview sounds to me like he's been dipping into the nose candy, with its manic run-on sentences and 'i'll fucking bring anyone down who fucks shit up' rhetoric. not that you can really tell over the internet

Most of the nu stuff sounds all cold and digital...
