like the way the dark ambient part acts as a bassline more or less.
some off-kilter beat layering shook things up nicely too.

It's funny isn't it. 15 years after the fact (or more) that track still sounds as fresh as anything released recently.
In fairness, you couldn't say that about every track released in 1997.

It's amazing how fast a month flies by when you're committed to a monthly show or mix

Too bad this stopped so soon. But I know regular blogs and stuff take lots of time. . Wish this could be revived somehow.

I would offer to take it over from Code temporarily but I no longer have the patience to wade through so many identikit piles of crap.

Yeah, I was disappointed to only get through 2 episodes before it petered out ... but time is in such short supply these days.
I'm prioritizing making music at the moment as well as running Subtle Audio - and even at that, I don't really have the time to do either properly !
There is still the fortnightly Subtle Audio show on Jungletrain, but I don't always get time to upload the archive :-P

Thanx for that link, the shows will keep me occupied listening over autumn and winter for sure.

Yeah it's time consuming to put together this kind of DnB/Jungle best of a month releases lists these days. I have little time myself currently to actively search for stuff and today's environment with so many soundcloud/Facebook/blogs pages worth checking regularly. The more I appreciate shows like the subtle audio mixes. They keep me informed and are well done.
