[#mood] Does music still matter?

Does music still matter? Is music that important?  Or mere trimmings to the feature picture?

In this thread, we post music that still gives us hope. Similarly, we can also post music that makes us mope too I guess.  Sad2 Anxiety breeds human ebbs and flows, emotions are never immune. We can value the relevance of it all.

I'm listening to this as I post. I don't know why, but I am. I don't mind it. Leto V Gorode gives me hope. Cool?

Music was always a hotch potch to me. Maybe not hop scotch, more like red stuff. Stuff from the heart, premium, from the Earth.
This record by Octal Industries is my example of simplicity and happy feeling.

I dunno. I'm struggling to find anything – music or otherwise – hopeful at the moment Neutral

I know. My thoughts exactly. Lots to say. Inner thoughts and all.

There's still hope... somewhere.  anywhere?  sigh.   Scratch

Chin perhaps hope indeed. Will listen.  Yes
I listen to a lot of music again threse days, old and new.

For the kids of today music probably isn't so important anymore. They are more into gaming, social media, smart phone.s and stuff.

I went to dinner earlier tonight, covid restaurant environments are.. mildly pleasant at times, as sometimes they are completely dead in times of the day when they normally wouldn't, and sometimes you're the only table open in the space. I don't mind it. Those brief , utterly selfish moments when you might feel you're the only person alive lately. Weird. Very current though.

As posted elsewhere, Jamie Stewart (Xiu Xiu, etc) recommended John Bence. For the purpose of this thread, I fully concur. Pleasantly hopeful, filtered through darkness. I mean, life is like that in general right?

I just posted the Machine Code, "Every Ones & Nothings" lp 3 times on the forum now.

Hope. Indeed.

I clearly find hope in distortions. I've been like that for a long time now. Our foundations may be misery, we reach, some conquer, and further elevations are expounded upon. I prefer that.

Still reaching.

This is fab.

does music matter?

I find solace within silence and space, auditory revisions, beauty.. retrospective meanderings that lead to rediscovering & paying attention to detail within a producer's back catalog. In general, excessive, continued geeking out on my part.

Sven Weisemann continues to inspire and teach me new things this far on.

I've been a fan for a long time now.

Via his expertly curated dj sets or his own productions, there's always a lot to consider & learn from. Always inspiring. I listened to the Jouem ep series today. A treat for sure!
