So after waiting so long to hear the tunes I want to on a big system I am pleased to say that this is now set to become a reality. And who else better to supply the well needed variety up north than paradox.
All heads up north represent to show that there is a demand for these flavas. + its at band on the wall were soulution hold down thier residency. with one of the sweetest systems Ive heard.

Yaeh really looking foward to it. Certain styles of DnB have become obsolete in the north over recent years. Never in a million years did I think paradox would get booked up here.

Anyway this night looks like its gonna continue. So we now have this, marcus intalex night and plenty of anthem nights so its definatley looking a lot healthier up here....I just wish I dint have to go to individual nights to hear this style or that style. But I suppose everywhere is like that now. Im not aware of one night anywhere that plays right acroos the board.

Yeah know what your sayin. Thats why I put in the first post come down and represent if you live up north to show thier is a demand for this style... Ive got a lot of respect for the guys puttin the nite on, they could of quite easily booked andy c, Hype etc... who are up here all the time anyway. But theyve put thier neck on the line and taken a risk. which very few promoters do up here.

1st off, I dunno who these geezers were, I think they could have been residents (not sure)...anyway, they played some nice music, mix between rough and smooth, some equinox, breakage, paradox, funky technicians..... and then this one track with fuckin super bass, and all the drunken pilled to fuckery idiots went crazy (anyone who went,know it?)
So then Dev was just minglin about, so I went over n had a chat n shit, got a pic
(right down to earth guy) .... then Dev did the most fuckin unbelievable live music set ever (which has bumped him up to my fave producer), started off with Aries Maze if I'm not mistaken, then some other stuff, including (I think) Macc - Gutteral, Drum & Chase, Give The Drummer Some, Tomorrow's Tomorrow (live breaky version maybe)
then some nobsock came up to me, giving all this shit about paradox being crap and he was tryna tell Dev to get off, so i told him to fuck off...
AND THEN FUCKIN KILLED IT WITH A CERTAIN SOUND
that shit had me bouncing like fuck... the bass was fuckin heavy.then chase + status came on, wasnt really my cuppa tea, too in your face (cept ed rush + optical - bacteria)
so i buggered off outside, ripped a poster down, came back in and Dev signed it for me (thanks for that man

Was a wicked night Paradox set was well put together. He played some of the original breaks tracks then speeded them up to 170 bpm etc. And played most of his recent stuff and forthcoming bits.
Also I dont have to go to Herbal to hear the whole source direct palava. All was revealed last night.
Was very suprised to see the place absaloutley rammed to the rafters it actualy looked busier than the soulr monthly.
The best part was when he played A certain sound the place just went off he had no choice but to bring it back. The vibe was electric. haaaa he had a nice little story regarding A certain sound but anyone who has had dealings with RH would'nt have been suprised. Good to see people telling it how it is and speaking thier mind...

best Paradox live set i've heard. killed it with a certain sound! he ripped it out of those freakazoids trying to get him off which was funny and just carried on playing!
the first few dj's were good, but the Chase and Status didn't do much for me at all.
was gonna do a review and pics and stuff, but couldn't be arsed carrying a camera all night.
A guy called Geral is playin there tonight too! But I'm back in the Heart of England now...
Only complaint was the mic set up, couldn't hear the vocalist, paradox, or the mc too well, but beats and bass first innit!
didn't recognise anyone from here (i tried to look at people and see but...), but caught a mate from the 4hero/Reinforced site which was cool.

Yeah gotta agree Chase & Status didnt really do it for me. Technically they were good mixers but first and foremost its about selection for me and that was lacking... I didnt seem to notice anyone having a go at Paradox or tryin to get him off. What happened ????

it's all about the "a certain sound rmx". i saw dev two weeks ago in chicago, after waiting more than 5 years to see his live pa. amazing set, from one of the nicest guys i've met. big ups.

well some dude came up to me, and he was runnin his mouth off like "this is fuckin shit, this isnt music, 1st time hes been manchester innit, he should get the fuck off" so i told him to stfu and fuck off, so he climbed on stage and tryed talkin to dev, who didnt get a word he was saying, so he went off and ran his mouth of to the guy stood next to me....
im still hyped from last night... :P

Well, what a wicked night...
Good to se the place totally rammed.
There will be pictures in a week or so on the paradox website october update!
The Audiosalad guys done a great job, and ran the whole event very well.
The overall sound in Band on the Wall is spot on.
Watch out for their next event with the Bassbin Crew.
I think ill even make my own way down to Manchester for that one.
