Before I even started dj-ing, and before I had any concept of what gear I'd need to start mixing records, I bought the "Smokebelch" (1993) 12", just to listen to on my shitty "all-in-one-tape deck-turntable" stereo set up (remember those?? lol).
I still prefer the David Holmes mix, it made the most sense. "Progressive house" was a new genre back then... I was full on into it. Dubby progressive house and stuff. The beatless mix is nice to hear again too.
