maybe I should catalogue my 10" singles and start on those

Chin

There is a good 5000 ish sized 7 inch collection in my local Rapture Witney store. Here's something I recently picked up...
Howard Jones - No One Is To Blame/ The Chase
A side is from very early 80s Jones
Like a mix of Ultravox and Joy Division
two more...

Tanzania Albinism Collective - White African Power / Stigma Everywhere
Various | Fourth Dimension - Presently Untitled

I bought a seven inch record last week. By EMF. Unexplained Truths EP.
If you play either track at 45rpm, the garage punk of 1992 accelarates into jungle tekno / breakbeat hardcore.
nice couple from Electronic Sound magazine...

Thomas Leer / Robert Rental - Splash Momentum / The Waltz of the Fatman
The Radiophonic Workshop - Strange Beacons / Mind the Gap

John Foxx - Underpass / Film 1

Excellent song, embodiment of early 1980s electronic music
Music critic for the Tally Ho
yes "underpass", a quality proper tune

some surprises unearthed by my lovely long-suffering (because of my schizoaffective issues) mother from my grandparents given items around the time of change, my nan's passing. i don't have their classical records, but i'm only a grandson, i simply have a few old family heirlooms so to speak that will remain unplayed - because of respect, and i can play all of them on the internet rig.

screaming lord sutch (monster raving loony party) - i'm a hog for you / monster in black tights (an amazing record that i'm very happy to become acquainted with)
...theme from z-cars, a "happy birthday" special occasion singalong 7', a couple of 7's by jan and dean ("surf city" / "she's my summer girl") e.g, and some gems by cliff richard on columbia.
none of this stuff is really collectable or worth bang, in the greater scheme of things, but when you want to remember your deceased loved ones (or frail), you're not thinking about a market.
the latest 7' stuff i listened to was "love's great adventure" by ultravox, paired with "white china" on the other side, and "it's only love / turn it up" corn-fed cheese from simply red another time.
just picked up...

Jools Holland - Boogie Woogie '78

Dance Xyxthumbs Hahaha
and now a very old thing by Rob Haigh...

My picks for the Corona season:

Flying Vinyl sub - 7' post punk pop punk and pop dubplates, with electronic music elements
Drone Records - ambient and drone 7' rettles

www.dronerecords.de
And of course Jools Holland's "boogie woogie piano, which he manages to crowbar his way into every rendition on the BBC program" Hahaha Hahaha Lol (Richard Wilson, author of Can't Be Arsed)
a couple more new old ones...

Fifth Column / God is My Co-Pilot - Don't // Probable Cause / Life Under Occupation / Held Down
He Said - Only One I / Only One Lie
