I watched the whole 5 seasons pretty much back to back a couple of weeks ago. Great stuff. Season two does drag as cube says, a lot of new characters are introduced and shit but it is very good - might be my favourite season.

that's mad, ithought season 1 dragged on, and it picked up the pace for season two. :-d

we ordered seasons 4 and 5 on dvd from ebay, season 5 arrived real fast, but we ended up canceling the order for season 4, something to do with supplier issues. Roll

we've ordered another one though, it's it's already shipped.
it's a killer having season 5 sitting there and not being able to watch it! Lol

it's an amazing series though.

mcnulty nad bunk are hilarious.

omar is too cool. Cool

one of the best shows ever made.

Season 4 is probably the strongest season followed by season 3.

2 was my least favourite but it has its moments.

Too many great characters: Bunk, McNulty, Omar, Stringer Bell, Prop Joe, Marlo, Avon, Chris and Snoop.

Agreed. I watched it sporadically which made it worse. It seemed so slow that I lost the motivation to complete the first season. All I hear is good things though, I'll get back on it someday perhaps.

Lol same for me a few months ago, caned the lot

tried 2 or 2 episodes a few years ago and wasn't convinced after the inevitable sopranos comparisons... then came back to it last year, got converted and gobbled it all up :d

sopranos was more like cinema on the tv, whereas the wire actually exploits the long-view of serial tv better to build up a huge over-arching, eye-opening picture

btw, i reckon season 4 was the champion Xyxthumbs

btw, I urge any of ye pirates Grin who enjoyed this from Torrentland to at least buy one season on dvd... the series was pretty criminally ignored beyond a few critical voices, and was regarded as disappointing in terms of its viewing figures...

A shame, cos more recognition for it might have encouraged more support for that kind of tv..
