Extreme death metal

Mastered a Swedish extreme death metal record today, and you know what? I fucking loved it.

Forgot how seriously intense music can be. Dudes could really play as well, Ghamorean is the name of the band. Proper EIIIRUUUGHHHH business, but their harmonic sense really caught me, and at times - bizarrely - even reminded me of Slint.

Any other recommendations? Might have to check out a few other peeps.

Not sure if this quite counts as death metal but...

must agree there.....they are DAMN good.

Still think Meshuggah are the best metal band ever. Amazing mucicians. I like to think of them as sort of jazz metal, their time signature changes, and just general feel are like NO other metal band i've ever heard. always interesting.
Best Lp, is still the 1st (well 2nd actually) imo. 'Destroy Erase Improve' - Looks like it's been remstered (not that it needed it!) I highly recommend this album, it's AMAZING. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Destroy-Erase-Im...678&sr=1-6
Later on they moved to 8 string guitars, and the riffs just became more insane.
They also did two cd's which were like ONE 22mins 'song' - one take (it's called "I")
and then went onto do another which is around 45 mins, same idea again.... (entitled catch 33)
I could go on about them for ages, but get 'destroy erase improve' - you wouldn't be disappointed. their drummer is Falcon
