You reckon? I think he's right - to think is the pre-existing corollary of action, but it becomes circular when you ask that question, "Should I really be making music? (because it might not have my heart in it, not that it's too much effort, pays the bills or whatever)"
This quote has stuck with me over the years because as with anyone, it's about producing what's in your soul, not because you just can. People can eat more than they should because they can, and look where that's got society. So granted, thought and heart are interconnected, but with a gradually depleting amount of heart in everything nowadays - the context for the quote 10 years ago - it feels warranted.
