Very oldschool here, I live in the country so I'll never get proper broadband here so streaming is out of the question (I don't like streaming on principle anyways) so I mostly watch DVD box sets of series/shows.

What I recently watched:

Columbo
The Incredible Hulk
Department S
Cracker
The Prisoner
Music critic for the Tally Ho

Proper oldschool

Makes sense then Teef
Started "The OA" yesterday evening. Really really dug the first episode. Actually gave me goosebumps, when the opening titles came in almost at the end of the first episode to the bird's view of Moscow. And those strings. Brilliant.

Watched episode 2 right after and fear it could become a tad blatant, but still very good so far. Keeping my fingers crossed it can hold the suspense Dance
Wow I can't possibly watch that much telly. I have watched a few series over the years but can't do binges much.
I loved Westworld and now have a thing for Thandie Newton where I wasn't interested before.
I watch Elementary as well. I find it a nice take on the original ideas.
I have also been addicted to Masterchef Australia for a few years too. The best version of them all by quite some distance.

Haven't seen this, but really liked Chef's Table (first season at least) and some of the Anthony Bourdain stuff (The layover, Mind of a chef) ...

I don't watch any telly at all, in fact we don't own one anymore. But I do like binge-watching series (2-3 episodes tops) and a film every now and then.

Watching series on a laptop and watching telly is the same thing isnt it?

I meant television programme. German TV is horrible, 30 channels of garbage with 1-2 exceptions.
what i remember watching 6 months past

the crown; 2 episodes in.
designated survivor; 3 episodes in.
narcos; 2 episodes in.
bottom; 3 series and many videos in.
orange is the new black; 2 episodes in.
miranda's memoirs; trailer.
people just do nothing; much of the three series on iplayer.
still game; first series.
a mother's work; one episode.
mongrels; 2 series.

and i still have the entire series of breaking bad to watch (first season).

generally all good stuff, well written and interesting. funny, too, in the case of the black comedy extrusion plotlines.
a large portion of this stuff is publically available and decipherable via netflix, amazon, amazon prime and dvd.

woah, I couldn't "crosswatch" like this. I hardly can take 2 series at a time. What's that "bottom" show?
Rik mayall and adrian edmonson, of course Smile

Full 3 series on netflix. Black comedy. 1990s.

I can only watch little bits of any telly ar a time.
The thing I worry about (not that worry is really ever a good thing) is getting drunk on good tv. Good Food series have also been a mainstay this year since I upgraded my Virgin modem package - Lorraine (black cupcake and spiced treats chef); Hairy Bikers; Heston Blumenthal; Masterchef; Gordon Ramsey; Rick Stein; Jamie Oliver; Mary Berry; Nigella Lawson; James Martin; River Cottage with Hugh-Fearnley Whittingstall; Nigel Slater. To name but a few.

And then there's the more casual-series-models for sports like MMA (or Ultimate Fighting for the blingier stuff).

In all I've actually watched a good amount of telly, specialised telly series that is, but I am an ABSOLUTE sucker for good drama series. It's like I'm almost allergic to them; I have to stop watching.

Afraid of getting addicted. As is the case with everything with me.

Nice! I never get tired of watching Columbo lol
My current fav series are:

Vikings
Moonshiners
Chin The first two episodes of "The OA" were great. The 3rd was already a bit far-fetched (ok, it's a "fairy tale" etc.), but the 4th had me constantly -> Roll. (No offense, btw Wave)
BoJack Horseman.
Hannibal

...and The Good Wife Teef
I haven't watched a series in about eleventy billion years.... All these people talking about Games Of Drone or whatever it's called Teef , 'I just watched season 9 episode 5 and ZOMG'. Each of those is what, 30-60 minutes and you've watched NINE SEASONS?! Where the fuck - and why the fuck - do you find the time? I just don't get it.

Also, is Game Of Drones (keeping that Bob, love it) better on tv than the books?

Cos I started reading the first book, and it's fucking drivel.
Stuff that's not drivel:

Mad Men
Sons Of Anarchy (although I'll admit this is close to drivel, but it's just action IMHO, like Die Hard)
The IT Crowd
Preacher
House Of Cards
Recently Watched:

Narcos Season 1
Daredevil Season 1
Better Call Saul Season 1 and 2

Up Next:

Jessica Jones Season 1
Preacher Season 1
Preacher is good, but at the risk of sounding terribly cliche, not yet, as good as the comic book.
What's Jessica Jones about? And where to watch?

@Macc: we're parents. When the children are in bed we have sex and/or watch TV. It's what we do these days Smile Have been to 3 concerts this year, which is more than the 3 years before combined (when Ole was little) and every now and then there's a party at a friends house with loads of children running around and barbecue and booze for the grown-ups Smile It's not that bad. To be fair: I couldn't spend even 2 minutes on social media these days. I get news from listening to the radio (DLF, which is sort of like the least biased info radio you can listen to in Germany), don't watch German television programme and no social media whatsoever. Also, I'm just knackered when the brats are in bed, so watching a series is ideal. Mainly because you don't have to invest so much time in searching a new film every evening Xyxthumbs
I have been recommended this:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt5651844/

So I will give that a go soon and see if it's any good.

I watched the first 1 and a half seasons of better call Saul but I was losing the will to live. After Breaking Bad, it was a huge disappointment and lalloped along at a snails pace, so I couldn't get through any more than half the 2nd season personally.
For the sci-fi genre, that sounds neat enough, Euph.

At the moment I'm watching,

Fargo (Season 3)
The Handmaid's Tale
