do u find it better to buy the cd release of stuff rather than buy the vinyl ? i find my self buying the cd a lot more often lately than just buying the vinyl. i myself own a cdj 800.

stuff i bought on cd recently

makoto - human elements
patife & suv - dnb fiesta

Best price for CDJ-800
wanna buy one of these with some accumulated funds/xmas cash - best price I've seen so far is from Digital Village http://www.dv247.com/icat/homeofferslist at £439 + Delivery. If anyone knows of a better deal let me know, also if anyone has had any dealings with DV before, bad experiences etc.

Buying a 2nd hand Pioneer cdj - what do u think?
Just asking for your opinions.

I think it should be safe as the seller tells me he's had it for a little over one year, only using it at home. He said he's only had it eight times (heh, he's been counting hard eh) with him at some cafeteria gigs.

And it's a Pioneer (cdj 100s) after all, I guess they should be very reliable.

mixing with that thing just couldn't be easier!
got one pioneer cdj 100s today as well as the vestax pcv-002 (which was virtually spanking new; got it for 100€!!!) mixer.

still need the 2nd cdj - i think i wanna get another pioneer cdj 100.

i fucking love the master tempo function; i have mixed some old dnb tunes and, trust me, i can play em at +10 and they still sound natural! can't fucking believe it! oooooooh............

i've spent some time mixing tunes playing from my computer w

CDJ Master Tempo Button
How does this work?

Say you pitch up a track to +6 so you can mix it in to 'normal' speed D&B (!!!) and it sounds a bit silly... if you press the 'Master Tempo' button it can make the tune sound slower but yet the tempo stays the same. How does this work then?

Good feature either way... wouldn't be able to play mix much of Macc's stuff otherwises... would just sound waaaay too fast Lol

My CDJ revisited...

The crowd I bought the CDJ800 from have admitted they were supposed to send the unit with a power converter (but didn't).

They are saying that this is a handling error and so I'm not covered under warranty.

Basically, in the EBay description there was no mention of the unit being a 120V unit. The item location was UK / Manchester.

In case you didn't know, I plugged the unit in after it came in the post and something fried coz it powered off straight away. It was on
