that is possibly their finest single too! i had the honour of spending a whole
day with them back in 94 or 95. we had them play a daytime set in the
basement of our record store to help promote the show at the club. they
tore the place up. after the gig we took them to a house party that some
band types had and they played another set there. their tour manager used
to be the singer in the zero boys too.

3 unsane sets in one day Homerdrool

doh! i said the exact same thing in the other thread.... i sound like a
broken record...

yardie, i was part of the sub pop singles club too. this is what turned
me onto them. might explain why it's still my fave single :P
Awww, kool. You might have gotten terribly wasted - 3 gigs with them, ouch.
Just one single arrived damaged at my post box...HIV Baby by Soundgarden. Don't liked them that much though...

Something else...

You're from Ohio, right ? Do you know a band called Necros from way back ?

I got their Conquest for death album, later they turned also into metal, unlike many other bands out of that era.

Big Chief was their afterbirth i think - that guy, Marc Dancey, also did the Motorbooty fanzine, right ?

Hmmm, but i haven't heard that big Funkadelic infuence in them, honestly. Maybe i hated the voice of Barry Henssler too much after they played shitty music with the Necros.

Ah, i just listen to that VAZ stuff off their homepage!

i'm from ontario, basically right across from detroit (45 mins away)
so yeah necros, negative approach and all that was crucial to me.

i got the soundgarden 7" too and sold it for $50 to a friend as soon as
i got it.
Oh, sorry, just a stupid german who can't compare names right...Oops

Yeah, that big Led Zep influence on Kim Thayil was too much for me...

Hahaha
this is a great mix, dan. i'm even more gutted now that i didn't buy that stuff back then. Icon_evil

So I'm bumping an old thread as I've just recorded another guitar mix. This one is on a much more metal tip and part 2 will lead back into Punk/Noise territory.

Will try to post a link in a few days...
