ive never heard anyhting by him of any great note personally

and that cd he did on SONY records was one of the worst mixes ive ever heard, some great tunes massacred by train wrecks. I cant beleive sony didnt turn round and say sort it out. Or that he didnt have any selfrespect or pride and want to mix it well. Almost any mix by bedroom djs is better than that.

i mean some arent bad (the ubiquituos jack the ripper) but still nothing groundbreaking or that memorable. Compared to what some of the people at the time were doing its crap. Skycutter, ed&op&nico&trace.

Didnt know whether to post this or not, i know opinions are allowed but normally dont post 'hate', just ignore it (if youve got nothing nice to say, dont say anything, as my mum used to say), but i just never got why people were into this. Intersting, had exactly the same conversation with grappa the other day.

Having said that, it pisses all over a lot of what the old producers are vomitting up these days

the only opticalish thing about it is the cleanliness of the production
but the sounds are not optical at all
