My hard drive. (Cuz none of that shit ever came out Icon_cry )

Oh, wait, that's not a vendor...

Actually, I'll ask you lot: I've been going over a bunch of old tunes that never came out; there are quite a few, and some of them are just strange. Not necessarily obviously demented, but just...I dunno...a little warped or something; like they were born missing a limb or an eye or somethiing (what the fuck????). Some of them are also rough sounding...some even wholly crude, and they cover a span of say six or seven years (of the ones I'd at all consider letting anyone hear). I've been considering releasing them essentially as mp3 freebies. Advertise them a bit and just say here ya go...take em, listen, cut em, laugh at them, throw them away, vomit, enjoy them, etc.

I'd also had a thought once of releasing a few of them crammed onto one piece of vinyl or maybe CD, on Metaformal after a whole string of releases...you know, a kind of "from the vault" kind of thing, recognizing that many of these may be flawed...not intended as any kind of serious release really; more for fun, and those who dig mining the failed veins of artists they enjoy.

What are people's thoughts on such a thing, not even just me but in general? Waste of time? A harmful tarnishing of one's intended output (then again, I would have released these back then)? Nice? Great? Absurd? Save it for vinyl/CD? Release as HiQ MP3s?

thats a great idea!

-anyone got any uplode space for that kinda thing? i'd do the same...

...why don't we just mp3 all our old shit... what good is it sitting around unheard?
thats an awesome idea!

get some one on soulseek/kazza/morpheus to host them and populate everones collections.. this sould be a very good marketing tool. get people to hear the old stuff so they are compelled to buy the new stuff.

i know ive often bought something after hearing it on mp3 and being impressed.

its a good way to do it since i cant hear anything i like in stores over here and need to order from OS.

maybe even release mp3-DVD's you could probably fit all dnb ever on one of those baby's Icon123

I would personally love to hear any unreleased stuff you have.
