1. " im a stranger here myself" ---by bill bryson...

its a pretty funny book...it actually has me laughing out to myself...its a book about the authors return to the states after living in britian for 25 years and his culture shock. its hilarious how he is ridiculing the american culture...he speaks right from my own mind in many parts

2. i am also reading "bury my heart at wounded knee" by dee brown...

ts basically a detailed history of the destruction of the American Indian during the 19th century American West, which is based on records, autobiographies and documents of the tribes involved. the events in the book are absolutley heartbreaking as well as appalling... its pretty intense, so i have to put it down occasionally for something a bit lighter (see above)

i thought the satire was fairly visible, but then again that's not really what i was interested of.

you liked the book because of its strong female characters didn't you? :d
doku/fiction. Mouse on Mars reviewed and remixed
" Using Mouse on Mars' songs, albums and concerts as inspiration, 37 artists, musicians, designers and academics have created commentaries, paintings, drawings and collages for this book. The results gathered here document the visual, artistic and theoretical contexts of modern electronic music as well as a range of personal interpretations of what it’s like to experience it. "

Contains a discussion between Jan Werner and theorist Oswald Wiener that alone is worth the price of the book.
Plus lots of pretty pictures, of course. Smile

Nearly finished George Orwell's '1984' the second time around. Awesome stuff. Don't think I've read a more scary book despite it not being particularly graphic. Lovin' it.
