like i said our d&b event SR is doing very well

have to see how our non d&b event Dysfunktional Beats will do
but things look good

we're developing ideas and new initiatives, will let you know more when we do

the future is bright

yeah i've heard last SR was great Cool bit gutted i couldn't be there

i agree with rico, the future IS bright...there's quite a bit of good tunes around & passionate people doing good things for the music...

for me personally, sometimes i have to take some time off from dnb and/or being active in 'the scene'... not completely but to take a step back and get deeper into other music/things in life, can be very refreshing... still, good dnb has got something that will always have me excited about it, hard to explain

on a sidenote: i've had this experience in another scene (hc/punk) where i was really put off by the way it was going and stopped going to shows for a while... funny thing is during that period i actually discovered dnb Grin but i still love hc/punk, never gave up completely

just do what feels good...of course you have to work hard to get certain things done, but even that should be fun... yay happy happy joy joy :P

and rico, we still have to go for a coffee in amsterdam man! Send me an sms so i've got your number... next time i'm there i'll give you a call Cool

They should be looking to pick up the choice bits of dnb from Subtle or CI every once in a while, and we have to convince them they need to be doing so.

This is a really good idea... maybe some of the SC related labels could try and give Boomkat a few records to sell. They must be one of the biggest and most eclectic record shops on the web, and a lot of the reviewers there are obviously ex-junglists. They stocked both the Remarc compilations on Planet Mu, and sell Soundmurderer records by the bucketload. It'd mean fans of all forms of electronic music would be exposed to the music.

But unlike with dubstep, which sells pretty well to this crowd, there's nowhere to go and hear the music.. if a few of the old guard were encouraged to check out drum and bass again, they'd probably be horrified with what was being played at most nights.

Hahaha Hahaha Hahaha

This thread kind of went off the rails a bit, at least from what I was intending.

I'll be back here when I have sorted LOADS of work out (2 days off and the whole place falls apart Roll ). There's lots more direct no holds barred cussing to be done Grin
