Using just one monitor, is that a problem?

I'm currently using just 1 monitor in my bedroom, the other is sitting in the deposit waiting for a new shelf :/

Will prolonged use of just one have a effect in sound? I mean will one monitor sound different (because of worn) then the other?
not really, but i wouldnt wait 2 years no
It shouldn't sound noticeably different because of wear and tear unless you hammer it.

However there are alllll kinds of reasons why you don't want to make tunes on only one speaker (if that's what you're doing).
