Really getting into the dub techno stuff I'm hearing
Is there anywhere that i can get the echospace records for less than £7.99? I know they are on nice colour vinyl but it still seems a bit steep.
up she goes
bloody hell... i find most modern minimal stuff to be a bit to minimal i don't even know how they get away with releasing a lot of it..if it's on vynil it's a waste of plastic.........the good stufs good though
i like 'Let's go outside'...met him at a night in Bradford...did a d/b'y remix of 'i'l lick your spine' ..he liked it but nothing happened and i cant play it to anybody or his record company will sue me.................... an old acquaintance of mine Mark Hawkins (harder techno) has recently got a new thing called ### or hash hash hash some of that good very minimal though nobody else i've heard has the same gritty nosey element that basic channel have....(there probably there if i looked.)....but i do love sound sculptures by theo parish..not quite the same
anybody say fluxion yet? and rhythm & sound was covered too, im sure...

i remember buying the philips track when it came out and thought it was terrible.....(show what i knew)..still got it somewhere..i all ways thought it sounded of centre..i'll have to have another listen maybe it's just my copy
in fact thinking about it the first trck on my virb plyer 'Time Machine'
has distinct similaratys to the philps track http://virb.com/electro_voice_phenomina "Stephan rewired his soundsystem and programed deep moving analog synthchords and sub bass driven grooves. The result this time, is a mix CD of so called dub techno music. A nice mixture somewhere between ambient sounds and low pulsating beats. Floating audio scientific modifications of endless repeating tones next to reverbed percussions and a good portion of sympathetic background noises and processed fieldrecordings. Dubby explorations in the relaxed areas of beat orientated something music" http://hypnotic-breaks.blogspot.com/2009...thing.html Not yeard heard this but no doubt it'll be really good!
not heard it either but love STL's stuff.
