Pantera @ Rock City, Nottingham, just after Vulgar Display of Power came out. Fuck, they were loud.
Jeff Mills @ The Orbit, late 90s some time. Completely nuts.
Low @ The Union Chapel in Islington, about the time Trust came out. Incredible atmosphere, even though me arse froze sitting on them pews.
Festival of Drifting @ South Bank, with Labradford, David Pajo, Pole, and Sigur Ros - first time seeing Sigur Ros and Pole live.
Speedy J @ Mute's ICA thing. Interviewed the guy beforehand, and then going mental to a club full of indie fans not knowing what to do.

My biggest thing recently was probably Sly and the Family Drone in Cambridge a couple of years ago. Kind of a "yes, this is what I want from a gig" experience - big gobbets of coruscatingly heavy noise, but done as a sort of ecstatic communal celebratory thing. The band in the middle of the room, with people climbing on the amp stacks and drums being passed around the audience at the climax. Phenomenal.

Otherwise, probably Mogwai at some point in the early 2000s, Loefah at the Maze in Nottingham in 2006, Marcus Nasty at FWD the first time Marcus Nasty played FWD...
