A very similar sample is used in Bad Ambient (at the start and about 3mins through) and in Moon Rappin (at the start) by Nucleus and Paradox

I was thinking the other day how the spoken word samples in a lot of his tracks sound like the same guy. Either there's one film in particular he's used a fair bit, or guys in sci-fi films talk the same.
Just had a listen to it. Definitely sounds like it to me.
That intro reminds me of a British show called 'Into The Labyrinth' I used to watch on The Children's Channel back in the late 80s / early 90s. It always ended just before I had to return to school after lunch breaks, so I always came in late. Hahaha

Anyway, it sounds very similar. The Chocky's Children serie has been released on DVD apparently. So it is possible.

By the way, nice open cow samples from 2:10 onwards. Teef

I think he samples the shit out of Scanners and Dune.

Yeh but we were commisioned to write for that Chocky crap tho by Thames back in the day.
I was just watching Chocky and remembered this thread. The sample is at 2:08 in this episode:

The only "Chocky" I bother with is the Mogwai track on "Come On Die Young" (Cody). Deep stuff, very dark and sinister.
I like the occasional Post Rock but could never quite get into Mogwai. Too emotive and on the hard rock side for me. Personally more into the Ambient type of Post Rock.

Anyway here is the full sample I unearthed if anyone is curious: https://clyp.it/idfm2cbw
