The most ubiquitous reggae label of all, Trojan, brings us their acclaimed Sound System once again, to what is guaranteed to be a wild night of riddim, dub, toasting, rocksteady beats and general mayhem (if past experiences are anything to go by!) Formed in 2004 from London Sound System legends to represent the label throughout the world, they have already had huge success as a single entity and with such reggae luminaries as Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, Gregory Isaacs, Horace Andy and Dillinger, to name but a few.

Selectors Earl Gateshead (Cutty Ranks, Big Youth) and Daddy Ad (Roots and Reality Soundsystem) will be bringing us the beats, fx and mixdowns, while vocalists Chucky Banton and Superfour (the group’s spiritual leader) ‘chosen as the cream of London’s reggae entertainers’ will be on the mics. Between them they have over eighty years experience as reggae performers!

The double header is completed by the Dynamics, the soul reggae band who have been so busy the last two years with their amazing reworkings of Madonna, Curtis Mayfield, Bob Dylan and Prince. This appearance is another exclusive for Choice Cuts and promises to be one of the musical highlights of the Fringe.

So if its roots, rock, reggae you’re looking for, this double bill will be bringing irie vibes and laying down some heavy dub for all at the Spiegeltent. You can’t miss it - you know you love it!
