DOPE - Travelling Pt2 : In the words of Wilsh

The great Wilsh explains why he loves Travelling Pt2 more than his hordes of French mistresses, being demoted and crying.

Plus there is a link to a splendid oldskool mix he knocked up, featuring Travelling.

Cheers Wilsh

I never agreed to this.
how about from someone who's opinion matters?
Ginger people shouldn't have the right to type / speak.
Great tune. One of the all-time 'most-mixable-in-any-old-skool-situation' records Smile

Spot on Naph. Such a versatile tune.
As pointed out in the link, it is really fun to mix. It's all those bits where the break drops out, but also the sound of the break in general- fun to play around with.

I love the build-up on the Slow Train to Philly mix too. Will probably play both of these at my night next week.
Did I spot somewhere recently a comment that the repressed version of this is slightly altered to the original mix? Something about the bass in the breakdown.

Show me where to find this repress please.
I'm sure it was on the GLO facebook page. Can't find the comment now (was it deleted?)

I'm pretty certain the person was refering to all since represses... but most likely the most recent one

The most recent represses are on a sublabel: http://www.rolldabeats.com/label/good_looking_moments

haven't seen D.O.P.E. represses whilst updating RDB, so I suspect they're yet another "eventually on Good Looking..." story.
I'll record in the version from Fabio's show in 1994. That'll get the heads scratching. Ornette's at least Teef

I'm not that fussed about the Part 2 version. The Part 1 is the one I remember & love...

A clip never goes amiss!

Never heard that one.

The one I'm on about it a fusion of both Philly & Part 2.
