im sure the wood glue would give it a deep cleanse, getting rid of dirt and things deep in the grooves.

did you use the exact same glue mentioned in the pictures(titebond) or can any standard wood glue be used?

ok you don't use anything, the glue just becomes transparent... Nice! Doesn't remove scratches though does it
