Loving the work on the keys on this and the overall vibe.

I'd really really be into this if the break had a bit more meat to it, just sounds a little tinny, could just be the eq... not sure, don't know what the original break sounds like exactly.
Patterns and programming are good, just the eq not quite working for me.

But, to go back to my first point, the idea of the whole thing

We finished the tune and then did a mixdown and EQ immediately after (probably a bad idea since my ears were super tired by that point)
We've gotten a lot of similar feedback; and 100% agree on the drums.. really missing something and listening to it on ear buds and in the car I found the highs to be waaaay too much.
We just got some Aphex 104C Expanders that might help add some air and beef without adding to much gain to the drums to hopefully make them sit a bit better and become less tinny
We tried pitching it way down and it just sounded muddy; it's pitched up ~+4 version of Young-Holt Unlimited - Wah-Wah Man that we stole the hits and made an "Amen" grooved version of it.
I'm going to try playing around with it to get it at 175 original pitch and see if that might work too.

Very happy you like the idea, the piano was a little improv session Kasious and I did with some free piano samples I loaded into the EMU; just jammed out on the keys and came up with that.
We find we can get so far on the Jam but it's getting things Big that seem to be our issue; specifically the timbre of the breaks.

Great tune. I agree about the high end on the beat, but that's easy to sort. I'd be all over this if that tiny tiny detail is sorted.

thanks for listening man really appreciate all of the feedback on this one..we ran the break through our new Aphex 104C Expander and re-eqed it and it is sounding wicked can definitely notice the difference now....hopefully a new mixed down version will be posted soon...big up !!!
