ok, lets have it!

I thought about this in the past few weeks. O.G. techstep supremacy.. who had it?

huh huh?

would Position Chrome not have existed without the influence of No U-Turn? possibly.

which produced the more killer tunes??!!??

legacy vs legacy

dark vs dark

who did it better? feel free to post your true feelings on the topic. Smile

let the battle begin!!

Is the answer not obvious? Baffled
we can debate heh.

just throwing it out there. Chin

i'll wait to give my personal opinion.
No U Turn = Nico

by the way - No U Turn => Turn U On => Horsepower Productions => ... you get the idea

voted Clipz though - standard
done
^^ hmm...

good point on the Horsepower part. nice.

the plot thickens. Smile
Hated position chrome at the time. All the worst elements of techstep with none of the vibes. Forerunners of the metal/dnb crossover sound in many ways.
No U-Turn released some of my favourite dnb tunes ever
Position Chrome didn't

Blue
position chrome had some good stuff but the atmosphere in darkness of no u turn can't be beaten
beats are there to be broken http://musicindevon.org/
Panacea's Hetzjagd auf Nazis! remix is pretty good

Twothumbs
NUT/Nu Black all the way Smile
I've only got 1 release from each label Oops They're both pretty damn good, so...Dj Clipz it is! Icon_yippee

Sums it up. Not even a conversation... pc and their ilk owe their balls, taint and everything else to the No U-Turn camp.
Forgive me, but what is Position Chrome? Oops

when I first heard this I thought it was a No U-Turn track Smile
^^ so good. yeah the intro break & atmos is very No U-Turn, the distorted amens & sirens were more the Panacea thing. its a great track from that Chrome era mos def. does the job. still.

and the mass of reverb – that's very Nico Smile

^^ i love that track!! an all time fave fo sho.

Ed Rush's earlier No U-Turn hardstep ish... stylin

truthfully, this easily could have been a No U-Turn vs. Renegade Hardware thread for early techstep supremacy, but you can't deny the Position Chrome axis to it all from those early years as well, even to this day. hence my thoughts on starting this thread.

I honestly think about this kinda stuff, debating it all in my own head. strange huh? Teef

Yeah it's quite obvious.

But the PC camp had some very dirty (and very cool) stuff aswell. They sounded even more militant and aggressive (and primitive, in a good way) than NUT which is quite my style.
Yeah, for instace the Hetzjagd Auf Nazis remix but Panacea's Stormbringer is also essential:

Those wicked edits and the apocaliptyc sounds I cannot resist...

and No U-Turn wins again 201tongue
Don't forget Emotif Recordings :d
TOV/Hardware from 99-01 were unstoppable. Armageddon, Essential Rewindz, Champion Soundz... pretty much buy on sight.
done
