But even with this in mind, it still doesn't really explain the vehemence with which these attacks from within his own party have continued to be made. So what is going on?

The report:

200329-Labour-Report-Final.pdf
The work of the Labour Party’s Governance and Legal Unit in relation to antisemitism, 2014-2019

p29-
"Labour Party staff, who are employed by the Party rather than as political advisers to politicians, are expected to act impartially and serve the Party, regardless of the current Leader, much as the civil service is expected to serve the Government under whichever political party is in power. However, this section shows that much of the Labour Party machinery from 2015-18 was openly opposed to Jeremy Corbyn, and worked to directly undermine the elected leadership of the party."

it soon became clear to me that, while some politicians and armchair socialist Jim Royle types do occasionally have a point, politics is the pseudoscience lover's dream.

how this relates to this topic, is not aimed at any dickhead. it's to criticise how much you lot built Corbyn up, only to pettily fail in trying to turn your feelings into tearing him apart.
Still slowly making my way through this 'antisemitism report'. I must admit, it is giving me a better insight into the scope of this problem in the party.

Confused though. At page 830, it talks about Chris Williamson taking Labour to court, and mentions the "court found in the Party’s favour on the substantive issue".

However elsewhere he has stated that he won the court case, to the extent that Labour had to pay all of his court costs.

Which one is it?

it's both. the party is not being sided with, the labour party was sued for wasting time.
the term "to found" goes a lot further back than "found" in the singular case. finding something to be something else is not it. that's what you were thinking.

it's just another example of the dreadful diatribes and bollocking on of wannabe intellectuals, posing as if they know something subversive.
exactly my problem with this thread. this thread started as a thought piece with simple ideas. it turned into a biodegradable washcloth trying to clean a termite mound.

Well if you think I'm going to be voting labour again, you've got another think coming.

not expelled as yet – suspended (pending investigation) and removed the whip

but with Starmer having escalated this, it's hard to see how it resolves without expulsion Neutral
