henceforth I will post more on here and less on FB

I don't have as much time to post on here now I haven't got an office job Teef (Actually that is the truth), but I will try. I never left this lovely place and have no intention to, I may be quiet for a while here and there when I am travelling around with limited internet (when the lack of internet is the least of my worries, unless it can stop rainforest creatures biting you). But I will always be back whenever I can Smile

It has stood the test of time for me.

Yep, still like this place. Though I mostly keep quiet, just read what others have posted.

It slowed down a bit but it's still more alive than Myspace Teef

WE NEED TO GET IT BACK TO WHAT IT USED TO BE!

Sorry CAPSLOCK ATTACK!

When people say now they just use Facebook, for what?!

It's nothing like a forum, and it's just full of people liking other peoples shit and sharing rubbish no-one even cares about.

Used to get proper laughs and find out lots of interesting and intelligent things here. Too quiet now.

Needs a major comeback.... Hypno

I'm not sure if it can be done. Most of us don't regularily listen to drum & bass anymore and to be fair - it was the lowest common denominator for peeps to stay here. Of course I had all sorts of laughs here and for quite some time I called this "my home on the web". Hell, I made friends here (not made a single new friend on Facebook when I was on there, just lost some Teef), but times were different. When I came back here a couple of weeks ago, I had this immediate warm feeling: going through the members list, I realised how long it had been and how many names I had forgotten about.
But to be honest, most of them are gone. I will continue to return regularily from now on - SC meant too much to me - but somehow I sense the golden days are gone Sad2

Prove me wrong, though Icon_yippee
don't listen to drum & bass??

speak for yourself. and also. this place ain't no DOA. where everything pretty much revolves around d&b.

This place was so much more.
I only listen to avant-garde recorder music. Bluesmiley

A good selection of opinions expressed in this thread. Whilst i approve of FB's memories function i have even less time for social media with each developing year.

I am listening to a lot of early 1990s techno at the moment I have to admit. Still into DnB as well, in fact,  liking lots of the current stuff I happen to check out on Redeye - see my month by month rundowns on SC Smile

I've been reverting to my 'classics.' I'm on a trip hop/abstrakt/acid jazz, late 90s old school kick right now.

I'll have to check your rundowns and see if it sparks my interest Wink
Interesting community you seem to have here. On my home world we simply communicate using differing sizes and shapes of bubbles and therefore have no need for social media.
Asides from the few peeps who post here, music forums are a really specific demographic in 2017. So.. hanging on music forums might say something of your character.. ha, which I'm not even sure what that means myself. heh. STILL.. what about the peeps who live on discogs forums and such?  Different breed or.. ?

Props to you old timers here (i lurked for years, hung out elsewhere..) but the brief spates of life that exist on SC is enough to keep things moving, no?

Given that, SC is seemingly more alive than Photek's career.

hey now!!!  Hyper
I'm still here, occasionally. FB even took over for me, a once staunch no FB goer.

Just needs everyone in this thread to post again, snax and all that stuff, and we're away & running.

SC is still and always be my interwebz home. I wish it was busier but at the same time I wish it wasn't that busy when I first hung out here between 2003 and 2007 Hahaha - I simply can't muster the time any more to be on here like I used to.

I mean, I am not invovled in the music scene any longer really (don't dj any more, have sold all my gear etc), but I am still interested in the music. In fact, more interested again Smile. And if I happen to come across something interesting, I try and share it with the SC mohicans.

I think you should all forget about a dead internet forum and go spend as much time with your family and friends while you still can.
