It is kinda weird how, as Liz Harris says, over time you get to the point as a producer and artist producer where you just feel, well, hopeless when over ninety per cent of your audience is always offline, but always, totally wilfully ignorant. People here aren't wilfully obscure, they're just wilfully ignorant. I don't hate anyone, especially people here, I'm just doing a Roy Walker, saying what I see like Catchphrase.
It's a good answer, but it's not right.
They (talent scouts, false people, complicated people, uncaring people) only care about themselves. Men, eh? Usually. What the fuck is wrong with them. No wonder so many here have broken up with their girlfriends. No wonder SC has exploded into a tragedy of love and war, Private Eye joking.
First, there is the distinct feeling of not being supported. People say they support you? They won't buy your stuff. I can guarantee you now, very few will attempt to listen to it. Everyone here on the whole is a hoarder, who disappeared up their own backside because the music was "cool" then.
After a while I lose so much hope in people who come here that I'd rather just put music out there in the way that a musician secretly dumps a large rock into a secluded lake. I did used to think of their ears, now I realized they don't care, so I can't be bothered.
And in the end I do this cycle of disdaining the common listener again and again, because 99% of the time these people are brainless.
They listen to exactly what they want to listen to, they never compromise, they are like Kevin The Teenagers if you ask them to try anything.
The only reason everyone's a lurker here these days is because everyone is too busy being a truly antisocial piece of dog muck.
End rant. What do you expect me to be, positive? There are no sales detected. One person bought this. I know things happen, but, mehhhhhhhh...
I am too far content to care about being paid, I do this for life, my lady et al, but honestly, get a grip and get involved. It's the internet...
Ed: on a lighter note..."Ten Times The World Lied" LP by Bvdub is on my stereo right about now.
Been playing it loads. Got the download and Digipak CDRW.
I'm sad, but I smile. I'm glad, I got out the bile.
Shhh Mike, if you accept a hug they might think you'll go away.
