Another song i had done learning logic years back, pretty unhappy with the drums but there are some qualities to the tune besides that. Was asked by Roo to post some of my older stuff so heres another one.
what you get

Edit: and this link should REALLY work now.
how do I download? do I have to sign up?
Hmmm , the link doesnt work, i wonder if its one of those things when you shut the window its no longer valid. Ill use sendspce, that way i can delete it anyways in a week or so.
Changed my mind wanted to pst this one.
This one is utterly the worst in my mastering job or what have you, listening its actually embarrassing ( the levels) ..
but the song is kinda cool.
from years ago and the project files are gone forever.
Life back here

Oh shit, thats nuts i tried it and it didnt play
, checked the original file which is an aiff, thats why it didnt upload it. I will fix it later today.
There's nothing wrong with the file.
For anyone downloading: Simply rename the file to whatever you want and give it a .aiff extension. Plays fine.
Listening now.
Woot. This is really good.
Few things: hi hats bit too loud and tinny in places, possibly distorting, not sure. The earphones I'm listening on atm are not the best.
Weeeee great use of voice! Mostly it seems fine in the mix but there's a couple of places when it first comes in it seems to be a bit quiet. If thats the goal so its more subliminal when first used then its probably spot on.
Forwarding this to Mark and a few others.
I'd probably alter the chord pattern when both voices are layered. They sound fantastic but because the chord pattern underneath is repeating it takes away an opportunity to highlight the change in the song. Nothing too big, just a subtle change would do it.
There are probably many people on SC who can give you better technical pointers on mix and EQ than I, but the music itself is great, simple without being boring, some fantastic synth noises and I love the voice-work.
As I hit the 'Submit Reply' button, I'mlistening to this for the third time
Thanks for listening Roo. Thanks for your input on the levels, but like i said its kinda buried at this point.
Do you listen to what you get?
I don't think I can play AIFF (mac files aren't they?)
convert it to an mp3
they're smaller anyway

Sometimes when I get feedback (yes, even negative feedback) I don't apply it to a current project. As you say, it might just get buried, but I take it onboard for future work
If I'm understanding your reply correctly but I admit I need more coffee.
Zzz nightshifts
ok, I'll check them later

Ooooh you have something in your signature. Translate?
literally:
That is well said, but it is necessary to cultivate our garden.
or something like that
Okay, feedback:
I like the bases of these tracks (and I mean the
base, not the
bass), but the drums aren't doing it for me. That's possibly because I'm a bit bored with dnb right now. But anyway...
In
RIP love I like the distorted voice etc, but the drums are a bit too fast I think.
what you get I like more because it's slower, a nice good looking sort of tune
Life back here starts great, but then it begins to get "in tempo" and the drums come in and I wish they hadn't. I'd much rather listen to the intro for six minutes
. Having said that, the vocals later on got my attention; that works pretty well I think.
yeah i dislike the drums in them aswell.
I kinda was just learning how to use logic, and figuring out how i would do drums in that program didnt get a flow yet to actually do them the way id like to and also my taste was different maybe, life back here is it least 5 years old. I think i figured out a new way to do drums by talking to some others about it a couple of years ago on here but right when i started a new way i stopped making beats cus of shoulder....... hopefully soon itll be strong enough to be using a mouse for hours.
glad you like the distorted voice in rip
i have another song where i sing in it but i cant find it atm.
What you get i think is my fav of these 3 too.
Thanks for the feedback
