jesus christ, the bass. mick harris is a complete nutter.
i picked up quite a few records in some awesome second hand stores in vancouver, listened to most of them in the few hours since getting home.
some real classics - some prefuse 73, chaistic slide by autechre, entain by vladislav delay. some dnb too - lexis on certificate 18 and optical - moving 808s.
but the meatiest by far is scorn - plan b. it's actually destroying my speakers. hearing this stuff on a system would be just immense.
so dark, so twisted, so trippy.
put your weight on it
vancouver was awesome too. great weed, great beer, great food, and absolutely stunning scenery. hiking around and camping in whistler was one of the best things i've ever done.

Nah, he only played a gig last week in Budapest, and as fishing season is almost over, he's definitely making beats as can be seen from his recent myspace bulletin mallarkey:
"1]NEW SCORN IS NEARLY COMPLETE 1 AND A 3RD TO GO.WORKING TITLE "DIDNT ASK TO BE HERE"DONT EXPECT ANY VOCALS I DONT DO THAT SHIT AND THERE WONT BE ANY,WHAT I CAN GUARANTEE IS SOME RAWNESS AND DIRTYNESS=SCORN=SCORN.I ACTUALLY GET ON WITH IT WHEN A GOOD FEW SAID IT WOULD NEVER HAPPEN.
2]FISHING SEASON ENDS IN 5 DAYS,AM I HAPPY OR WHAT,THANK FUCK ITS COMING TO A CLOSE[THOUGH YOU STILL GET SOME STUPID FUCKS OUT THERE WHEN THE RIVERS ARE CLOSED HAVING A GO,ID LOVE TO BE A BAILIFF].TIME OUT IVE HAD ENOUGH FOR NOW TILL JUNE 16TH THEN ITS TIME TO GO AGAIN.
3]JOHN ZORN WROTE ME LAST WEEK TO ASK IF I WOULD LIKE TO PLAY IN PAINKILLER AGAIN,COULDNT SAY NO TO THAT COULD I...I TOLD HIM THAT I WANTED TO GET MY CONFIDENCE BACK WITH ERALDO AND BLACK ENGINE FIRST,HE SAID THAT WAS FINE AND WHEN IM FEELING GOOD TO GO TO CALL AND HE WANTS TO RECORD FIRST THEN TAKE IT OUT LIVE.WASNT GOING TO SAY ANYTHING BUT IM PRETTY CHUFFED ABOUT THIS.ZORN HAS ALWAYS GIVEN ME CONFIDENCE AND HE KNOWS HOW I FEEL ABOUT MY DRUMMING,
4]FUCK THE DEPARTMENT=FUCKING PITHERING TWATS.HOPE THE PLACE EXPLODES.

Grabbed a new copy of this EP for $1 a few weeks ago. Gotta love the bass weight.
