Not only is this show too funny, but its so funny in a Canadian way it pains me.
the creators pay attention to this.
for example - the guy who plays J-Rock (real name Jonatha Torrens) became famous in Canada in the 90's by hosting this super bubble gum teen talk show. He was such a cheesey host and his reputation in Canadian tv was solidified as that.
Trailor Park Boys get him to play this J-Rock, the very antithesis of his talk shows host personality. its TOO FUNNY!!!!!!
Thats the brilliance of the show beyond the jokes.
Sebastian Bach (of Skid Row) is on it in season 7, another famous Canadian.
and the episode where Ricky kidnaps the Alex Lifeson of Rush, hahaha.

its rare that canada produces a show that makes it big in the USA and the world for that matter. I dont think the creators could predict how big this show was going to get. not bad for a shoe-string budget.
