I've been sporadically checking I Hate Models over the past year and a bit, and although my initial interest was peaked via more ebm & industrial techno related mixes what featured the odd I Hate Models tune, I really like what the angle of what he is doing NOW, if only because of the very specific, early 90's influenced tunes he's putting out. FULL ON hard trance elements, very post-early 90's ebm even, when trance remixes accompanied everything during that time. Given his assumed age, I find it interesting to see his focus and attention put to that very specific, early 90's aesthetic, which is getting more and more melodic, trance as fawk, yet still retaining an industrial angle that is, imo, rather educated and researched for a younger producer. If anything, the ripple effect is younger audiences and I Hate Models fans will go back and dig up said relics of the influences they are hearing, no matter what drugs & substances they partake while raving to I Hate Models.
In short, this old geezer approves. lol
I still appreciate a bit of trance with all the aggression. "Midnight Cults" e.p, August 2018
