My brother caught The Cure, Twilight Sad, Vancouver, BC show last night. I'm happy he went to the gig, he deserves it!

Set list posted on TheCure subreddit.

I really like the different tour posters for different cities, as posted via reddit as well.

The new 2024 album "Songs of A Lost World". Released yesterday. There was a 3 hour live stream of the release gig, which I watched off & on last night. I didn't catch the earlier BBC sessions tho.

I didn't like a lot of the production on the album upon first listen. But it works later on in specific dark tunes as a whole. And yes. The gloom and doom is there. The album is a good length, yet I want more.

I'm happy the album was made. Why not? I like how a continuum was executed of sorts. As The Cure do often. It makes sense to school all genres currently that see the band as a glaring influence. Many of said bands & projects that I seek out to hear said Cure inferences - everything from black metal, autonomic dnb, to r&b produced these days. I was listening to an older Mumdance mix the other week & there's full on Cure edits going on.

I approve.

"Endsong" is fab.
the last Cure record I liked was Faith

Fauxpas
I appreciate the Cureness of these tunes:
