since the 'getting fit' thread has vanished

I can't remember if I've posted in this thread or not.
(maybe the lesson is that I should be exercising my braincells more then :P )
Anyway.......

I've pretty much always exercised regularly from the age of around 15, so for more than half of my life

It's just one of those things I do as part of my routine. On average I run 3 times a week at work during lunch, I jog every sunday for a longer stretch, I bike ride a fair bit.

I used to teach kick/thai boxing but have knocked that on the head as it's difficult to fit it in now, but I still train once a week (which is not as good as the 3 times I used to do, as well as teach 2 lessons).

As well as that I go to the gym between 2 and 4 times a week depending on what is happening on any given week, and walk a great deal in the countryside.

So exercise and staying fit is more or less part of me I guess. I can echo Macc here where I would say I'm fitter at 33 than I was at 16.

Probably grumpier and more impatient too though, so everything hasn't improved
