Thanks to everyone involved in getting these sets and tracklistings online. I only really caught the last lot of the Kiss shows before graduating to 1ITJ so it's nice hear some of the earlier shows.

I've not heard that show with You Don't Know remix & Don't Make Me Wait, but Grooverider played Don't Make Me Wait on his 29th March 1995 show:

that groove album is one of the most underrated albums in dnb in my opinion. whatever u like to say about it being groove or optical or both the album has a beginning and an end, a certain sound and a strong concept/feel to it. im not saying its better than goldie timeless but it definitely is a full-on mature artist album with great music instead of "the 12 last tunes that were made all on one album" - which is what most of the dnb albums are. and dont even get me started on inta, structures of red, the warning, skies, fucking hard work, charades, bachelorette remix, 808 state remix etc etc etc etc. which have greater ideas than 90% of dnb at that time

were there many complaints? did the promoters withhold his fee?

it was a soul:lution night, so intalex booked him - intalex was playing some good old photek, 'rings of saturn', 'consciousness', before groove came on. then he started with 'pulp fiction' but then it went pish.

also happened to be end of freshers week or some shite like that so a fair amount of youngsters, some of them started a mosh pit until mc strategy told them off hahaa.

hopefully next one will be better, fabio & loxy.

A real pet hate of mine DJs not playing what they are billed to.
What Rider did there is nothing compared to when Photek played a whole TKDBZ set when he was on Mary Anne Hobbs oldskool jungle special alongside Remarc, Doc Scott, Randall etc

The only jazz funk tune I ever got to make with a whole band and a great studio...it was recorded in Mute Studios in North London in 1998 with a whole bunch of amazing musicians...I wanted to make something which had many layers...It was not my usual work so it was incredible to pretend to be a real music producer for a few days...I played all the keyboards (Wurlitzer) and did all the drums and sampling but the live elements make it a lot better...not a real song exactly but a journey for all of us involved anyhow. ;o]
